In this Sea Goddess class, designers produce four elaborate headdresses made primarily of fresh plant material.  Each exquisite piece extends a maximum of 14 inches from the center, and is judged on three sides.

This pink silk taffeta evening dress is a 1992 creation by Arnold Scaasi.

Produced in 1989, this blue and green tulle strapless dress is floor-length with both a bustle and a bow.  The design showcases Arnold Scaasi’s fashion genius, which he also used to create gowns for First Ladies Mamie Eisenhower, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton, and Laura Bush.
